Note: If you are unable to locate your spouse, you can still go through the divorce process. Once we get the petition approved, you will need to complete Affidavit for Citation by Posting/Publication form (which we will give you) and file them to the court (we can file it for you) requesting the judge to allow you to give the legal notice to your spouse by Posting/Publication.
Requirements for California Divorce
You or your spouse have lived in the state for at least the past six months and one of you has lived in your current county for at least the past three months
You and your spouse do have an agreement on how property should be divided (don't worry if you cannot find your spouse)
